In the days before my rather short-lived shopping ban, I spotted this pair of flats for half-off at Target. I really like the summery print of the fabric, and with the pink faux-suede toe cap, it really does look like true "ballet flats." I wore them for the first time today with a retro-inspired outfit to drop off some things at the thrift store (which explains the short-lived nature of said shopping ban). Being forced to wear loose, flouncy clothing is the only silver lining to a case of exposure to poison oak during yesterday's outting.

Lovely outfit and beautiful pictures, did you take ballet lessons in your childhood? Your position looks so graceful.
Fruchtzwerg beat me to asking if you did ballet when you were younger. Lovely shoes, by the way.
Love the outfit and what fun photos!
I haven't been to Target in ages I think partly because I know I can't walk out of there without clothes.
Fruchtzwerg and Yulanda--Thanks! I did take some lessons as a wee lass, but it was less "fundamentals of ballet" and more just a bunch of little girls doing silly things. I actually hated it back then, but now I wish I stuck with it.
Ambika--that's why I also tried to stay out of Target, but I was there waiting for someone else to get their stuff and just couldn't help it.
When I saw the shoes at Target, I just knew I had to take the shoe shot. The rest came pretty spontaneously. It wasn't easy to hold still for the camera, but it was definitely fun.
you look so graceful and elegant
Beautiful shots!
Thank You Thank You!
Hello :)
I stumbled upon your blog quite randomly and am so glad I did...what an excellent site this is...I look forward to reading more in the future...but maybe I am slightly biased because I share your passions for social justice and a good bargain!
By the way, the pictures in this particular post are quite stunning!
Cheers!
You look SO cute !!!
I have a Q b/c I was browsing the archives. Remember when you got the Pollini bag at DSW? Which one was it? I usually hit Pasadena but it seems like they don't usually have a ton of high end stuff. Do you remember which location? THX!
Mota--Thanks!
Karen--I got the bag at the Sherman Oaks Galleria. I really like the bag I got, but I didn't really check out the other bags in general, however. They have a great selection of shoes there, though.
The Pasadena DSW doesn't have a good bag selection. The Loehmann's at the other end of the Paseo Colorado is much better for that. But I love the shoe selection the Pasadena DSW.
The outfit looks great, you look like a natural ballerina. Very elegant.
I love the slippers. Looking so stunning and fashionable. This one is perfect in this outfit mentioned here. Looking so polished and pretty. I would like to use them both inner side and outside of the home. So pretty it is. I will love them with my ladies denim shirt
