The Simple Pleasures of Life

After working for the past 2 weeks and weekends (and this one will be a third), I succumbed to the temptations of "Retail Therapy" yesterday. After spending way too much money (some for needs, others for wants), I woke up this morning and saw a reminder that the best things in life are free.

Just thought I should share this cuteness with you all. Have a great weekend.

Adorable! A couple summers ago, a robin made her nest in the clematis vine outside our front door, and we watched everything progress from empty nest to eggs to baby robins. It was like our very own nature channel show.

I hope that any stress you're under eases up soon! There's nothing like a sign of spring to make you feel better.

Claire--that's so cute! I love hearing about bird nest stories at other people's homes. It's amazing how birds build nests in all these different environments, particularly the urban ones.

We never saw the egg before, but this year a shell bounced off and landed on the balcony. It's so tiny and white. Cute.

Bernie--thanks. It's amazing how much better I felt after seeing cute birdies.

Too cute! Yesterday on my way home I saw four deer at the local golf course, which is a rare sight because it's in the middle of a city. The only times I've ever seen deer in my fair province is at the zoo and once at the farms up north. I wonder how they made their way down here.

Oooh...deer! I guess they're adapting to their new neighbors--us. Bears somehow find their way into urban areas as well.
