I bought another rayon cardigan from another store as well but doubt they'll exchange it. I washed them all in cold water but was stupid and stuck them in the dryer in lingerie bags (thinking they'd stretch out if I didn't) and they all shrunk terribly, some cardigans go about half way down kaylagarcia_1https://www.blogger.com/profile/03805170225459039214noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16877633.post-1514169724998450182009-06-28T15:46:28.940-07:002009-06-28T15:46:28.940-07:00Hi Courtney--I stretched the fabric out (length-wi...Hi Courtney--I stretched the fabric out (length-wise) a bit while it is still in the water. Then, I squeezed out as much water as I can, and hang it on a drying rack to drip dry, stretch it a little, continue drying, and then check back periodically and stretch as needed. Because the water makes the fabric quite weighty, I just let gravity do the work after I've given the fabric a few Sales Rack Raiderhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13536371997251124417noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16877633.post-65473147879787051512009-06-26T19:05:07.688-07:002009-06-26T19:05:07.688-07:00What were your modifications to the wool sweater s...What were your modifications to the wool sweater stuff? I just shrunk a cute rayon dress I bought and wore ONCE! I'm thinking manufacturers need to distinguish between different types of rayon. Mine did NOT say dry clean only (I think it should have been!) and I washed as directed. A while back a reader asked me about it, but I didn't know much beyond the name. When you describe it as 4 pieces of clothing cleaned for a dollar + the cost of each Dryel sheet, it does sound like a pretty good deal.Sales Rack Raiderhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13536371997251124417noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16877633.post-1151988454281772852006-07-03T21:47:00.000-07:002006-07-03T21:47:00.000-07:00Due to sheer laziness, I tend to just wash even "d...Due to sheer laziness, I tend to just wash even "dry clean" clothes in the gentle cycle, though with some newer pieces of clothing that I really don't want to ruin I started seeking other methods. I'm still too lazy to actually go to a dry cleaners to drop off AND then pick up clothes, so I picked up a Dryel package-- it has a bag to put your dry clean garments in, plus I think 10 moist towels Marcyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00792375260633790983noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16877633.post-1151863065571230012006-07-02T10:57:00.000-07:002006-07-02T10:57:00.000-07:00I was too distraught to take the "immediately afte...I was too distraught to take the "immediately after" pictures, but these are the "all's well that ends well" ones =)Sales Rack Raiderhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13536371997251124417noreply@blogger.com
